Gratitude Day #1 - Words

#1:  Words

I absolutely love this sign!  I have it in my house on a table that you see right when you walk in the front door.  I love taking a house and turning it into a home.  Nothing makes me happier than when people are cozy in my house and say they feel completely comfortable!  So today, I am thankful for a home to create memories in!

Back in Action

Yes..... I know....... I've put my blog on the back burner completely.  Let's just say life has happened!  I can't believe how much has happened in such a sort amount of time.  Let's just count the things:  I moved!  I got a new job and now teach 2nd grade!  My grandma went home to be with the Lord!  I got another nephew!  We had horrible fires and gave us a week off school, AKA smokation!  I'm full force into my masters, pro-teach, and CEL 5 TPEP! And so many more little things that I can't even begin to describe!

Phew!  With all the changes, I've really had time to think about how much I'm truly thankful for!  And boy oh boy does my cup runneth over!  To help bring in November in style, I'm going to attempt the Instagram Thankful Days Challenge!

Two thoughts with this:  1.) Hopefully I remember 2.) I'll probably just do it with my phone and update it via my blog application.  Great!  Here's to November and the many reason why God is so good to me!

Grad School

As I roll over the second year of being out of college, I've realized that getting my masters and pro cert are definitely something I'd like to pursue now.  I'd like to be able to do it all online.  Most programs are two years, but I'm trying to find a way that I could knock it all out in a year.  I'm ready to take it all on!  I'm not too picky about specific schools, so I'm just laying out all my options.  So far I've looked into a few programs and am waiting back to hear answers to questions I've had.  What to do, what to do?

Wedding Season

We have once again hit the summer wedding season!  I'm at that prime age where everyone and their mother is getting married.  Every summer has been filled with the countless number of weekend weddings.  It's been such a joy though when those few wedding include your life long friends!  Abby and I have known each other our entire lives.  We've done it all from playing outside as children together, to going K-12 together, to playing sports together, to living a couple of years at college together, and now it's officially her day to marry off and become a Mrs!  I had the honor of co-hosting a shower for her with her sister Aleena.  Thanks to Pinterest and my desire to make everything just perfect, we were able to throw a wonderful shower!  Here's to Abby and Peter and a happy ever after!

Takes my breath away and warms my heart at the same time.  Completely God's country!  Yes, it's a photo, not a painting.... absolutely incredible!  (Photo taken by Josh Tarr)

Amazing Partner for The Amazing Race

I absolutely LOVE the show "The Amazing Race".  I have wanted to go on it forever!!  But, finding a partner is harder than I thought it would be.  You have to find someone who can yell and take being yelled at, but not get upset or be sensitive about it.  Someone who likes adventure, but also knows how to think and plan ahead.  Someone who dreams big, but pays attention to details along the way.  Someone you can get along with for a long period of time in all types of stressful situations.  But most importantly, you need someone who is competitive and truly believes we will win.  It's definitely on my bucket list to try and apply to this show.  Anyone want to join the ride?

Kony 2012

Ever since my trip to Uganda in 2008, my heart has desired to do more, be more, and never be afraid of something God is calling you to do.  Once again, my heart began to beat a speed that makes me want to pack my bags and help.  Please take 30 minutes and watch the video below:

What do I do now?  Spread the word.  Pray for everyone involved.  Act NOW!
